Coldest Winter

KANYE WEST "Coldest Winter" Directed by: NABIL "ITUNES link below" from nabil elderkin on Vimeo.

This was one of my favorite songs from 808's and Heartbreak. I love how Kanye changes the songs for the videos it shows that he is a real artist he doesn't just do the same thing over and over again. He experiments with his music. The director Nabil is one of my new favorite directors he is relatively new at directing but has made most of the videos for 808's and Heartbreak and a few other music videos. He has great style and use of imagery to portray the feeling the song gives. His videos bring a new depth and meaning to the songs.

Nothing better than a child's imagination.

The Greatest Story Never Told

The Greatest Story Never Told from Nicolas Heller on Vimeo.

This is a great idea for a short video like this. The angles and camera motion used really show the character's confusion and raw emotion. Also it showcases the fact that a director or artist in general can get influences for future projects even from their most intimate moments in life.

Mr. Morag's Helical Dreams

Mr Morag's Helical Dreams from VTV rider on Vimeo.

Mr. Morag's Helical Dreams is a very interesting take on cloning and it's ethical issues. It really makes you think about the life of a clone and who or what they really are. My only criticism of the short film is the voice they used for Morag's clone when he was yelling "MORAG" i found it annoying. There are also some shots and angles I would not have used if i was the director. Other than that I thought the film was excellent.

Vampire Weekend - Giving Up The Gun from Rizoh on Vimeo.

This is a great video the tennis match idea fits the song in a strange way. I love some of the angles they use on the band's faces. My favorite part of the video besides the cameos is the part where the band dissapears and reappears on the court. The vid has so a lot of dope cameos. I won't spoil them for you check out the vid. YEEAAH!

Third Shift

Pretty interesting idea, another take on the recent vampire trend, I'm not a huge fan of the recent vampire trend but I like to look at each thing separately this was done very well and shows another perspective of a vampire's story.

Snowboarding: Butternut and Sundown

Butternut and Sundown were two great trips this winter. I'd have to say that Butternut is my favorite of the two, it's a lot bigger and has cooler jumps and at a lower price. Sundown is great too but Butternut is the better deal

Vampire Weekend: Cousins

I love the song it's on the rotation for WNHU. Dope video the track set up reminds me of Little Big Planet in a way.

A very interesting video, it shows a whole different perspective on looking at plant life.
